Tonight, Thursday, September 8th, the Panthers Varsity Volleyball team will take on St. Regis at 7:00pm at home in Alberton. Come cheer on our girls and show your school spirit! $5 for an adult, $3 for students. Ask about a full-year pass at the gate!
Tomorrow, Friday, September 9th is a no school Friday. Please, do not send your students to school tomorrow.
Also tomorrow, Friday, September 9th, our Panthers Junior High Volleyball team will be hosting their first home game of the season at 4:30pm. Come show your support!
Saturday, September 10th, our Junior High Volleyball team will be playing in the Arlee Jamboree! The tournament begins at 9:00am. Take a day trip and spread the Panther Pride!

Hello, Alberton School Families!
We have a few updates for the upcoming school week that we would like to share:
First, this Monday, September 5th is Labor Day, which means there will not be any school held on Monday. School will resume again on Tuesday, September 6th.
Our after-school program for Alberton School District students enrolled in kindergarten through 6th grade begins on Tuesday, September 6th. The program will run Monday-Friday (on school days) from 3:50-5:30pm. All students were sent home with an enrollment packet earlier this week. Please fill these out and send back to school on Tuesday if you'd like your child to participate. You can also visit the main office during regular school hours to obtain a packet if needed.
Lastly, our Alberton Panthers Varsity Volleyball team will be hosting their first home game at 7pm on Tuesday, September 6th. We invite you to come down to the Alberton School gym and cheer for the girls as they take on their rivals, the Superior Bobcats!

This is a friendly reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday, September 1st will be an early out day for all students. Kids will be released from school at 3:00pm. All busses will run their regular routes, and will arrive at their designated stops approximately 50 minutes earlier than usual.
All junior high and high school practices time will run as regularly scheduled.

We have a few pieces of information regarding Panthers' sports that we'd like to share with you:
First, we'd like to give a big shout out to our Panthers' Volleyball team, who played their first game against Seeley-Swan last night! The girls all played incredibly together, and we are beyond excited to watch them grow and thrive as a team this season! Well done, ladies!
The volleyball team's regularly scheduled game in Two Eagle River for this Monday, August 29th will be rescheduled due to Two Eagle River's gym floor not being ready for game play. The Panthers' next game will be Thursday, September 1st in Darby at 5:00pm.
Last, we'd like to remind all parents of junior high flag football and volleyball players that practices will begin on Monday, August 29th. Practices for both teams will run from 4-5:30pm. All players will meet their coaches in the gym and will be picked up after practice at the school.
Players will need sports physicals and all forms completed in order to practice. You can access these forms in the main office of the school. If any athletes need assistance paying for their physicals, their parents can contact the Alberton Booster Club at albertonbooster@gmail.com.

Hello, parents and guardians of 5th-8th graders!
Our junior high flag football and volleyball practices will begin on Monday, August 29th. Each practice will run from 4-5:30pm.
The volleyball team will meet in the gym after school and will be picked up at the school.
The football team is to meet Coach Sanzano in the school gym following the end of the school day where they will walk to the football field together. Parents will pick up football players at the school.
Please note that all students must have physicals completed and all forms filled out in order to practice. You can get these forms from Ashley in the main office.

We are very excited to see you all at tonight's Open House and tomorrow morning for the first day of school!
Open House will run tonight (Tuesday, 8/23) from 4-7pm. Teachers will be in their classrooms--stop in and say hello! Pulled pork sandwiches and potato salad will be served up for all visitors, and information booths will be set up in the school cafeteria.
The first day of school is tomorrow (Wednesday, 8/24) and will run from 8:15am-3:50pm with 7th-12th grade breakfast beginning at 8:00am. All school bus routes can be found on our website under the "Schedules" page.

Our first days of school are fast approaching, and we wanted to share some information about the first week with you:
Tuesday, August 23rd, 4-7pm
Open House
Teachers will be in their classrooms--you are encouraged to stop in and say hello! We will be serving up pulled pork sandwiches and potato salad for all of the visitors, and information booths will be setup in the School Cafeteria.
Wednesday, August 24th, 8:15am-3:50pm
First Day of School
School bus route information will be posted on our website! Student handbooks will come home with students--please review these with them, sign all of the forms, and return to school.
Early outs will be every third Wednesday of the month with the first early out on September 21st.
Please note, we will have school on Friday, August 26th and Friday, September 2nd. You can view all Friday school days on the Academic Calendar on our website.
Lastly, Alberton Panthers athletics are coming back and we couldn't be more excited about this! High school football and volleyball are underway, but students can still join! Junior high football and volleyball practices will begin the week after school starts. Information will be sent home with students the first week of school. Greetings Alberton Panther High School athletes and parents!
Thank you so much to everyone who came to our sports meeting last night! We were thrilled at the turnout and are even more excited about Panthers sports coming back to Alberton! For anyone who was unable to make it, here is a quick overview of what's to come in the next week or so:
JV + Varsity Volleyball will have their first practice tomorrow, Friday, August 12th from 2-4pm in the school gym. Next week (Mon, 8/15-Fri, 8/19) practices will be held from 8-10am and from 12-2pm. The girls should bring along a water bottle, knee pads, light snacks, and appropriate volleyball attire.
High School football will have practices Mon, 8/15-Fri, 8/19 from 4-6pm. Boys should bring along a water bottle and appropriate attire for playing football. Sunscreen is highly recommended as well.
All student-athletes must have their physicals completed before they may practice. Missoula-area walk-in clinics can provide these for students at a low-cost ($25-$35). Any families in need of assistance paying for physicals can contact the Alberton Booster Club at albertonbooster@gmail.com.

The Alberton School District is in need of full-time elementary and high school paraprofessionals to support students with academic needs. The position involves working with special needs students in one-on-one or small group settings; taking directions from an immediate supervisor and administration; working cooperatively in a team setting with other staff and faculty.
Responsibilities may include recess duties, lunch supervision, Title I, Special Education, and duties as assigned. The candidate will be required to move from classroom to classroom as scheduled by our principal or sped teachers.
Qualities Needed: Reliable, Willingness to Learn. Ability to work with staff and students in a positive, cooperative manner, able to adapt to the unexpected.
The hours required for this position are 7:45 am-3:45 pm, Monday - Thursday.
Salary: Starting Wage $14/hr. + health benefits and retirement after 30 days.

Hello, parents, guardians, students, and SUMMER!
Tomorrow is the final day of the 2021-2022 school year! While we will miss all of our amazing students, we are so excited for them to enjoy all the wonders that Summer in Montana brings.
Tomorrow's school day will end at 11:00am. Busses will run their regular routes as if it were a regular day.
We are pleased to be offering FREE breakfast and lunch for all kids. This program will run Monday-Thursday from June 20-August 11. Breakfast will be available from 9:30-10:30am and lunch will be available from 11:30-1:30pm. Please note that meals will not be served for the week of July 4th.
As always, we thank you so much for sharing your incredible kiddos with us. It is a true honor to teach and serve them each day, and we cannot wait to hear all about their summer adventures on the first day of the 2022-2023 school year, Wednesday, August 24th!

Attention, parents + guardians of Hiawatha Trail riders!
Our kiddos + teachers are nearly finished with their ride, which means they will not be at the school for end-of-day.
We are anticipating their arrival back to Alberton in approximately 2-2.5 hours.
Parents of bus riders are welcome to meet us at the school, otherwise, we will provide rides home for those who need it.

5th-8th Grade Band Parents!
Tomorrow is the last day to get in your permission slip for the Silverwood trip happening this Friday, June 3rd. Your student will be given the chance to perform a concert at the theme park in the morning and explore in the afternoon!
While we received tickets at half-price, we are asking that every family contribute $40 per child attending to cover the tickets, transportation and food. If you cannot cover these costs, please let us know.
The money can be given the Ashley in the office, cash or check. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided. Please send extra money with your child if they wish to purchase anything at the park.
Will begin loading the bus up at 7:00am on Friday morning and anticipate an arrival back in Alberton between 7:00-8:00pm.

We would like to share some quick information about tomorrow's Hiawatha Trail Trip.
-Students riding their own bikes will bring them to Mr. Crews at the trailer in front of the school.
-Students riding the trail tomorrow will need to eat breakfast upon arrival at the school.
-Busses will depart for the Hiawatha Trail at 8:15am. The school will work to have children back in time for the afternoon bus departure. If for any reason we are running behind, the school will transport kids home upon arrival back in Alberton.
We are so excited for this opportunity and cannot wait to share the experience with our amazing students.

Hello, Summer Break!
The last day of school is exactly two weeks away! We will miss all of our amazing students but are excited for them to enjoy the warm weather and all that summer in Montana has to offer.
The last day will be Thursday, June 9th and students will be released at 11:00am. Busses will run their regular routes after school.
We are also so excited to be running our summer program this year! A separate announcement with this information will be coming your way soon!
