This message is for parents of Alberton School K-11 students. Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, January 18th, students in these grades will participate in MAPS testing, which will run over the course of the next three weeks. We are asking for your assistance in ensuring the success of your student(s) by reminding them to get good sleep, eat healthy breakfasts, and drink lots of water. We know all of our students are capable of amazing things and we believe they'll perform exceptionally on their testing. Thank you, as always, for helping your students to be the best versions of themselves every day. We proud to call them all Alberton Panthers.

This is a friendly reminder that tomorrow, Monday, January 16th is a no school day in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. School will resume as normal on Tuesday, January 17th.

This message is for parents/guardians of girls' junior high basketball players. Due to a shortage in bus drivers, today's game in Trout Creek has been cancelled. The team will hold practice in Alberton from 4-5:30pm today. As a reminder, the team will travel to Trout Creek this Saturday, January 14th for a two-game jamboree. Girls must be at Alberton School by 5:45am for a 6:00am bus departure time. Thank you.

Hello, Alberton School families Thursday’s home varsity basketball games versus Hot Springs have been moved to tomorrow, Tuesday, January 3rd. Boys tip-off at 5:30pm and girls at 7:00pm. Greetings, Alberton families. We have a few pieces of information we’d like to share with you: We’d like to remind everyone that to tomorrow, Monday, January 2nd is a no-school day. School will resume as normal on Tuesday, January 3rd. Junior high girls’ basketball season begins on Tuesday, January 3rd. All 5th-8th grade girls interested in playing are encouraged to meet in the gym at 4:00pm for practice. Practice will run until 5:30pm. No prior experience in playing is needed, however, all students must have a physical to be eligible to play. These can be obtained at most walk-in clinics in Missoula. We wish you all a Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you in 2023!

Attention Alberton Families, In order to keep our students and staff safe, Alberton School will be closing for Thursday, December 22nd. Temperatures will be as low as -17 at the beginning of school, and will improve little throughout the day. The forecast also calls for heavy snow and unsafe travel conditions in Mineral and Missoula counties. In addition to the age and status of our school buildings, students in both the elementary and high schools will have to be outside between classes on almost an hourly basis. We know that school closures can add additional stress and supervision issues for your students, so please know that resources are always available through the school. If you or anyone needs food, clothing, or supplies to combat the elements, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will help meet your needs. Thank you for your attention and support in regards to this matter. We hope you all enjoy the holiday break and we look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday, January 3rd.

Alberton Families and Staff: The National Weather Service is predicting freezing temperatures and the possibility of a winter storm in Mineral County beginning Tuesday morning. With this in mind, Alberton School would like to help our staff and families be prepared with the following information: In case of school delays or closures: -If a school day must be delayed or canceled due to winter weather, it is our District’s goal to provide notification to affected students, staff and families by 6:30 A.M. -The decision to delay or cancel school is based on input from local law enforcement, our transportation department, and our own staff research of road conditions. Bus stops and bus transportation: -If a bus is delayed for more than 15 minutes, Alberton School will contact affected families and provide updates as early and as frequently as possible. -Students should not arrive at the bus stop more than 5 minutes before the scheduled time. -Students should not stay at the stop more than 5 minutes after the scheduled arrival time. -Have a backup plan in case the bus is delayed. Recess and other outdoor activities: -Whenever air temperatures are at or below 10 degrees with or without windchill, recess is held indoors and outdoor activities are canceled. -Families, please be sure your student is dressed appropriately for cold weather. Come cheer on our boys for their last home game of the season! Also, the boys will have a buy-in game for the end-of-season tournament tomorrow, Wednesday, December 7th at 4:30pm in Charlo. Hello, Alberton School families! We are hosting three basketball games in Alberton this week, and we'd love to see a full house of spectators on both nights! Tomorrow, Tuesday, 12/6, our junior high boys' basketball team will take on Drummond at 4:30pm! This will be their final home game before the end-of-season tournament in Thompson Falls this weekend. Thursday, 12/8, our varsity basketball teams will host Victor for our first home games of the season! Boys will play at 5:30pm and the girls will play at 7:00pm. All Alberton supporters are encouraged to wear maroon for a Panthers Maroon-Out! The Booster Club will be set up before each game + during halftimes selling Panthers swag + gear! As varsity basketball season finds itself in full-swing, we'd like to remind you of the importance of community attendance at these games. Our student-athletes are working hard as we rebuild our Panthers athletics program and the more support they get from the community, the more confident they will be. Our high school student-athletes are laying down an incredible foundation for the younger generation of Alberton Panthers, and we could not be more proud of them for this.
