ATHLETIC & ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR:

REPORTS TO: Superintendent
FLSA DESIGNATION: CLASSIFIED
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Only minimum duties listed

  • Administer the activities program within the policies and rules of the District's Board of Trustees, Class C Conference, and Montana High School Association. 

  • Provide leadership in the recruitment and hiring of qualified staff for all positions within the activities program. 

  • Provide leadership and consistency in the process of evaluation for all personnel in the activities program. 

  • Develop and administer staff development programs in the area of activities coaching and management. 

  • Develop activities program policies and guidelines that meet established district educational goals, priorities, and objectives.

  • Responsible for supervising all aspects of district activity concessions including implementation, coordinating, assigning, planning, and accountability of district activity concessions

  •  

    Responsible for working with Facility Services, the School Board, the Superintendent and other administrators in the planning and maintenance of all district activity facilities.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed district employment application 

  • Must pass a background check 

  • Current Montana Administrative Certificate or ability to obtain 

    A four-year degree in recreation, education or related field is preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Successful and appropriate administrative experience 

  • Successful coaching experience 

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely 

  • Must be able to successfully complete performance responsibilities listed below and any other qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate and/or acceptable


TRANSPORTATION SUPERVISOR:

REPORTS TO: Superintendent
FLSA DESIGNATION: Non-Exempt
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops & implements a transportation program in accordance with Board Policy and State & Federal laws

  • Oversees the transportation of students who participate in extracurricular activities

  • Assists in the recruitment & screening of bus drivers and other transportation personnel

  • Oversees the District's Transportation Budget

  • Makes recommendations for updating & purchasing of new transportation

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years experience in public transportation or general transportation operations

  • Ability to read & interpret safety rules, operating and procedures manuals

  • Ability to write routine reports & correspondence

  • Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, with students, parents & staff.

BUS DRIVER:

REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor
FLSA DESIGNATION: Non-Exempt
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Drives school bus or transportation vehicle over assigned route in accordance with time schedule

  • Boards & discharges student passengers in a safe & orderly manner

  • Transports students, staff, and chaperones on field tripes, athletic activities, and other special trips

  • Enforces District policies & procedures related to transportation & maintains discipline on buses

  • Performs minor bus maintenance checks and reports maintenance needs

  • Renders first aid or emergency assistance as need

CUSTODIAN

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, & waxes floors

  • Vacuums rugs and carpets

  • Dusts, waxes, washes, & polishes furniture & woodwork

  • Reports unruly student activities, loitering, vandalism, and similar situations

  • Orders, receives, stores, and distributes supplies
